Metro Manila

Metropolitan Area A metropolitan area is referred to as constituting a large city or urbanized area. Clearly, metropolitan is not just a made up word, in this case it should be referring to the city area where it is more built up.
Here in the Philippine, metropolitan area is divided into twelve. We have Metro Manila as the biggest. It is also known as Metro Manila or Kalakhang Maynila, Kamaynilaan or sometimes refers to also as Pambansang Punong Rehiyon or the National Capital Region. This is composed of Caloocan, Las Pi?as, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Para?aque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig and Valenzuela as well as the Municipality of Pateros. And then we have the Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, Metro Iloilo, Metro Batangas, and Metro Dagupan and Metro Olongapo.
Of course each cities or Municipalities are also divided. It has subdivisions like Barangays or Districts. To be an official city which creates a Metropolitan Area there are many things to consider like city classification. By law, as the Local Government Code of 1991 of or Republic Act No. 7160; it classifies that all cities should and must fall into one of the three categories. We have Highly Urbanized Cities with a minimum population of two hundred thousand inhabitants, as certified by the National Statistics Office or NSO. We also have Independent Component Cities which are independent of the province with a minimum population of one hundred fifty thousand. And lastly we have the Component Cities which do not meet the preceding requirements are deemed part of the province in which they are geographically located.
And now speaking of figures, we also consider the Income Classification in terms of metropolitan area. Cities are classified recording to average annual income based on the previous three calendar years. Effective 28, 2008 the thresholds for the income classes for cities have six classes. First class is having four hundred million or more. Second is three hundred million or more but less than four hundred million. Thirdly, it should be two hundred forty million or more but less than three hundred million. Fourth is one hundred sixty million or more but less than one hundred forty million. Fifth should be eighty million or more but less than one hundred sixty million. And lastly is for below eighty million. There are many issues which I could tackle regarding Metropolitan Area like its current situation and also relating it to politics.
